Ode To Love

It's an open flame that lights my heart
And I've begun to live again
Flowers seem to be more fragrant?
My world don't seem quite the same?
 
The creek that trickles by my feet
All of a sudden makes me smile,
Its narrow, not deep like I thought it was
And it goes on for mile after mile..
 
There's tulips in the garden?
I never noticed them before???
The trees appear to bow down before me
Shedding blossom which blankets the floor.
 
I can hear in the distance church bells
I can hear children play with their friends
All of a sudden my eyes are open
I hope this day never ends...
 
As I mount the crooked wooden fence
In the field before me stands a highland cow
Shes so large yet shes so peaceful
Not afraid although she knows I'm here somehow?
 
In the air I can taste the meadow dew
I've never tasted that before?
It seems all my senses have awoken  
Like someones just knocked hard upon my door!
 
As I walk through the meadow I think of you
My pulse begins to race with anticipation  
Uncontrollably I start to smile
My heart beats rapid without hesitation...
 
I think I've reached my apogee?
It's you, you make me feel complete
I'm seeing stuff I never noticed before
All these things to me where obsolete...
 
But you, you opened up my heart
You entered each and every pore
I know for sure that I'm in love with you
I'm not looking for anyone else no more.
 
I can't define what love is
So instead I'll let love define me
Now that I know I'm in love with you
It's you who's finally made me see...
 
Love is like a river feeding a field of wheat
Love is like a poker stoking a fire
Love is the wind pulling me through the storm
Love is my heart full of desire....
 
But I really don't know what love is
Because I learn more and more every day
All I know is if I dont have you
All these feelings will sadly go away...
