Crimson Sky
Midnight.
the moon was
the only light that revealed
the secret,
of what was underneath the silk blanket.
to which there lied a body of two - but as one.
conducted by icy cold hands, but
a gentle warm arm.
Dreams were stolen
from their sleep.
Bringing to life -
those fantasies and desires, and helpless hesitations,
from the thoughts and thrusts,
and stabs-and-strokes.
carving ambiguous emotions,
bringing pains and pleasures.
Rolling eyeballs and scratches.
how Hercules his body was.
and hers was like Mona Lisa's smile -
pale, devilish, and shy.
No more qualms and waiting, they said.
Indeed it was lovely.
but was it really love?
or lust that feeds on the weakness
of mankind?
blood stains scattered all over the white sheet.
like a criminal act
leaving crimson trails behind.
The stars saw it all,
but nature was their language.
unable to tell the truth,
they hid it in a book.
there, forever it will stay.
Until the day
that Babylon will pay.
