Poem Never Written

It is, certainly, correct
to point this obvious omission out.
It is customary, after all,
a collection dedicated to...
- or, an address paying tribute to one,
even, a eulogy for one worth it -
... to focus, mainly, on the whole,
the totality
that greater than the sum of its parts is
and signifies
their, otherwise, solitary landscape(s).

Absolutely,
a critical omission!
Yet, not because of,
oh, no,
oversight, imprudence, or, recklessness.
I should, simply, be charged
with natural inadequacies.
The Other I recognize.
The Other I know not,
as, ultimately,
myself I know not.

It is understood, then!
The signifier manifested itself.
Its manifestation, however,
my poor acuity
escaped...
