In cerebral moments of euphoria we allow the mind to wander where the body wishes to fly
and boy did she fly
each night
to higher highs
an entrancement of desire
til ashes
succumbed to the fire
you found pleasure
in the hurt
I was your just dessert
in a desert of fear
before you disappeared

right at the start
drifting away with the dark
