The Chandelier
And it hung without distain
so catch the suns first glint
just like your hair, as morning broke
burnished highlights, lifts and kinks
As it arched its branches
in delicate displays
the soft flesh upon your forearms
wrapped round, as we together laid
Its droplets cut like fine cheek bone
just resting, biding for a while
sometimes stirring as you breathe
a breeze, to stir from that sweet domicile
Burn with the ever candle
the night its radiance and allure
till all flame was extinguished
relit, between the sheets in metaphor
Its presence felt by everyone, faceted
an orchestra, of high notes, drop pealing
a centrepiece for all upon to gaze
to lift the spirits with its gleaming
Fine dust's mantle never hid
the warmth of human lumens
refraction spreading far and wide
no corner, immune from its consuming
My all, so smitten in its halo
leading me to always bathe
the chandelier above you glitters
one and only love, evermore to crave
so catch the suns first glint
just like your hair, as morning broke
burnished highlights, lifts and kinks
As it arched its branches
in delicate displays
the soft flesh upon your forearms
wrapped round, as we together laid
Its droplets cut like fine cheek bone
just resting, biding for a while
sometimes stirring as you breathe

till all flame was extinguished
