Suspicion - Poem 1 of 10 in my collection 'Letters of Affliction'

Naive and elated,
I waited.
Ignoring the symptoms,
Of pain.

Contained with love,
For a person unknown.
More beauty than known.
Perfect.

Patiently waiting turns,
365 excuses.
365 redirections.
Effortless continuity.

Yet the only conception,
Was the idea,
Unknowingly enduring,
Waiting for you.

My whole world fabricated,
With positivity.
Only hiding,
The darkness creeping in.
