nowhere's trip

Swinging from a rope,
To runaway with her to elope,
Find the warrior’s blade,
See how sharp it has been made,
To feel the cool swift silver zephyr’s slice,
Somehow feels like sleeping on ice,
To let the red river flow onto the cold ground,
How the silence of the river makes the greatest sound,
The gunfighter’s gun,
Never to know that quick blast,
Let’s do what cannot be undone,
Just a click to hear the last,
A last medical experiment,
Just to be forever content,
Trying to fly with angels from up on high,
Letting one last sigh as we soar up high,
Letting out one last sigh as we soar away from the sky,
Off to wander in the twilight,
Walk forever in between day and night,
No longer feeling pain,
Or buckling under the strain,
Slowly nodding off,
Making at the world one last scoff,
Off to meet the ferryman,
To go join their eternally mournful band,
Standing on the edge of eternity’s sea,
Waiting for it to guide you to the land of the eternally free,
To sit under a tree with a never ending book,
By a dappled lighted, peaceful, babbling brook,
To read of land’s far away,
In a perpetual beautiful day.
