I wish you were here

Where are you now?
Are you missing me like
dandelions miss their feathers
when they're blowing in the wind,
like spare change-
tossed into a wishing well?
I wish you well.
Do you remember
when we were connected
like shoes to shoe strings?
We were inseparable.
Now we barley talk
and at times I forget the design of your face.
I wish you were here.
Winter is melting into spring
And I’m turning into the dandelion with my feathers slowly drifting away
and new flowers are coloring this small city pretty
but we- are beginning to look ugly.
We're starting to shed each other
we look like bare and lonely
and those feathers that stuck to my
stem kept me warm while you are away.
I'm trying to let nature convince me
that this just a season and
we'll be alright.
But nature isn't a good teacher
when its beautiful
and never alone.
I've grown cold
and snowy
ingested winter into my lungs and
My roots are frozen
I’m going crazy without you here
to warm me up.
Why aren’t you here?
You’ve left me alone
planted in a field where
only green grass grows
and I can’t help but wonder
if the grass is green
where ever you are.
Where are you?
You aren't here and I’m missing you.
I'm standing on both legs
feeling like im two feet tall,
wishing you were here to
pick me up and
help me
shake all the dust
ive collected on my shoulders
Its weighing me down and I just need to breathe.
I need you here.
Even though Im loosing myself to the wind
I hope you're finding yourself in the sky
I hope the moon is bowing to beauty.
I hope you're shaking the stars for spare time
and you're feeling alive.
I maybe here like that dandelion
featherless and lonely
but I hope you are growing
I hope you are finding your way,
and when you get there
I hope you think of me.
I hope you're doing well
But where ever you are,
I wish you were here.
