Why I Love You

Why?
That's the question lingering in your mind.
So I'll explain it to you,
 just give me three minutes of your time.

I love you because you always listen to me.
 I never slept through the night until you held me.
 I fell in love with you and I never stopped loving you.

I tried to get you off of my mind,
I even made some horrible decisions
 that couldn't replace you.

The feeling I get when I'm around you or
Think about you, is a feeling that I've never felt before.
It's strong and amazing all I want to do is explore them more.
When we were apart I asked myself,
“Why can't I let go? Is it love or is it lust?”
Your love has got a hold on me.

When I have a bad day only thoughts of you and my boys make me happy.
When I get lonely it's your picture that keeps me going.
If what I'm truly feeling for you is love,
It's safe to that I've never really been in love.
You are the only person that has made me feel safe
I just want to thank the man above.
 
You broke down my walls.
I never talk to anybody about what really goes on inside of my head.
Like a net, you broke my fall
When I'm down I know who I can call.

You know things that my close friends don't even know.
I've cried in front of you and you still stroke my ego.
I've always been the strong one
Not discussing my fears or true feelings.
With you I can be me and release everything.

I'm sorry that I hurt you, I truly am.
If I didn't care I wouldn't be fighting your doubts,
I would have given in and left.
I knew from the start there was something special about you,
Those first few days we were together,
All I thought about was you.

I barely thought about smoking
Smoking was apart of my daily life.
Since you've been here with me you've been my daily high.

I love you because you're a great man.
I love you because you're a great father.
I love you because of the way you love me and your family.
I love you because you were there for me.
I love you because you don't judge me
Because you love me for who I am.
I love you because you make me want to do and be better than what I am.

In the last five days
I've written fourteen songs
Declaring how I feel and that I'll never do you wrong.

I really love you because you challenge and inspire me.
It was shown to me that you would be my last relationship
and this is where I'm suppose to be.

Fighting to show you why I love you
What a beautiful relationship this could develop into.
I believe in you and I believe in us.
Not giving up until I take my last breath.

I really do love you,
If it sounds like I'm begging
I can care less,
If I have to beg, I'll do it proudly.

I'm after that unconditional love and
I'm going to love you unconditionally.
