Cover Up
These bracelets are cover-ups.
I only wear them to cover my past scars.
Now the selves do their work.
Time is passing and nothing changes, ‘cept the days and weeks.
I’m still stuck where I was two weeks ago.
Alone, thinking, lost in my world.
A world full of only questions, wonders and pain.
The sun may be shining, but I only feel the Shadows.
The night is my only friend.
It’s the biggest cover-up and the meanest.
Slicing one again.
Blood dripping everywhere.
More than usually but I don’t care.
I fell like I’m flying, but the next day I feel worse than before.
So let the cover-ups begin again and let all the lies seem real.
Faking smiles and laughs is easy when you’ve done it for years.
Believe my lies.
I only wear them to cover my past scars.
Now the selves do their work.
Time is passing and nothing changes, ‘cept the days and weeks.
I’m still stuck where I was two weeks ago.
Alone, thinking, lost in my world.

Believe my lies.
