Dark Ages
We must journey deep into darkness in order to reach the light
Can't let fear commandeer our strength during prime time fights
Our plight might bring nights where heavy storms prevail
Keep your eyes on the prize of Heaven when going through Hell
It's said that time heals and reveals lessons obtained from stresses
Being under the gun or thumb that presses without any recesses
Depresses the spirit and psyche and will likely make you want to quit
Be bold and never fold; this marathon's won by those who commit
Excrement will happen, zappin' our intestinal fortitude
Making us each reach the peak to seek some needed solitude
Away from a crude reality in which unrelenting fallacies reign
So I offer you my poetry and hopefully it eases some of your pain
