The Right Words
The right words are ever so elusive.
Anywhere else, they are so intrusive.
So I just can't keep my feelings captive,
And can't explain why my heart's so active.
I couldn't show how the heart's tormented.
It's hiding how the love has augmented.
I sometimes wish it would be relented,
So I can show where love's emanated.
The right words came, my mind starts to harken,
To listen before the floodlights darken.
The unveiled secret beckons the embrace,
To break the curse of the crestfallen face.
I now arise with the enlightened heart.
Standing before you is merely the start.
I see the darkness, of which I sever,
So the heart of light is yours forever.
