Unseen Beauty Finds a Way

I watch her as she writes down the answers
Her hair hanging across her face
Her hand scribbling writing down the teachers words.
All the while I watch her across from me
An arms distance away.

She’s beautiful, no ones told her.
No one has even acknowledged this fact
that what they see right before them is wonderful.
Are my eyes the only ones open?
Or are they asleep, lost in a dream?

Her posture holds scars
From friends before
Ones she's trusted, but nevermore.
Her shy stammer has abuse in store.
She doesn’t talk, wanting to not talk out of turn.
Trying to hide her flaws, having few to conceal

Tell mer just a bit more.

Her giggle as we talk, tells me what words can not describe
What I wanted to hear.
No matter the past, we have time to help
time to heal.

Her story is not clear
but her future beautiful.

Someone needs to tell her
the truth kept away for so long.

She looks up and smiles at me
I stare straight into her blue glorious eyes
"Your beautiful," I whisper

The title seems cheesy, but it works for the message I was trying to portray:)
