Imsomnias Dream

I lie in my bed
with these thoughts in my head
I toss and tear at my sheets
If I close my eyes, I can't pretend that I
never heard those words of deceit

Visions of you,
and demons in view
whispering such sweet promises to me
Your haunting eyes, they mesmerize
so real an illusion can be


Alone in this room
my sorrow consumes
my heart is in such agony
If I close my eyes, you can hear my cries
the sorrow a sweet melody


I fight and I scream
to awake from this dream
I need your love so my soul can be free
I reach out and your gone, the torment goes on
and the shadows descend over me


Nightmares of you
and a fairytale untrue
the fantasy comes apart at the seems
weave the lies, and hypnotize
pray I never wake from the dream
