Feeling/Thoughts...
Are thoughts feelings?
Are feelings just thoughts?
What about questions,
are they feelings or thoughts?
What about opinions?
Are they thoughts or feelings?
Opinions are reserved for the inanimate.
The sky is blue, the mountain is tall.
A thought might be, Trump is a jerk.
A feeling might be, I’ll never vote for him.
An opinion might be, the ACA is great.
A feeling might be, do I have coverage for that?
With love it’s not that easy.
You can think you are in love,
yet you don’t feel it.
You can feel you are in love, yet doubt it.
It comes down to the need for certainty.
Yesterday is certain, tomorrow isn’t.
Toady is a work in progress,
without feeling, only thoughts.

Ok so....yes it's an interesting topic. And you're correct to question things. So good. A thought is a...synaptic respond to some prior stimulus. You see something...it reminds you of something else...then your mind generates a response. Maybe in deprivation situations, your mind randomly wanders...a feeling...for me anyway, is instinctive. And there are deep feelings and surface feelings, based on my experience. I don't trust surface feelings like. " Oh that's great, or she is pretty, or wpw I want that". I trust feelings like. " Hmm I wonder if I should do this ..is it ok or too risky..."hope that helps. I get very confused when I dive into things. Like " emotion". Logic is easier. Nice poem there. Thought provoking.

I love this.
Difficult to sort it out.
I think about my job and I feel anxious. I think people should marry who they want, so I'm open minded, but have no tolerance for Trump, so I'm narrow minded. Thinking about his policies makes me feel angry.
Thought provoking and well expressed.

Thanks, coming from you it is most appreciated. I put the words down but am still as confused as ever. Wish I had answers rather than questions. 😄
Hmm. Everyone is confused. The smart ones don't admit it very often. My experience is....certainty is boring. When you get exactly what you want, you miss out on other things. The only exception that I see...where a person is perfectly adapted to something. And then he or she does that one thing. Like Bob Dylan or Picasso or Isaac Newton, or Frank Lloyd wright or Charlie Chaplin.
