Dandelions in Spring
A dandelion to my lips
for every time I told you
-to blow me.
Feathery petals in the wind
for every time my words
Flown past your skull.
You give me sniffles and watery eyes
Like allergies within the air
For every single fucking time
You said you really cared.
Amidst summer or spring
The tension we bring
flickers like fireflies.
Charmingly captive,
Emotionally reactive...
For every time you say you love me
Another dandelion dies.
for every time I told you
-to blow me.
Feathery petals in the wind
for every time my words
Flown past your skull.
You give me sniffles and watery eyes
Like allergies within the air
For every single fucking time
You said you really cared.
Amidst summer or spring
The tension we bring
flickers like fireflies.
Charmingly captive,
Emotionally reactive...
For every time you say you love me
Another dandelion dies.
