the sea of forgetfulness

I've been lost in a sea of people
so many times my life was spared
I hope it is for naught

my soul journey has been pain
I love humanity
where redwoods meet ocean is my favorite place on Earth
my spirit meditates there now

I question am I up for the test
my soul flies tonight
across the wildflowers of the valley
through the pine trees
nature is my refuge

his spirit picked me up out the mud
delivered me back to solid ground he is my foundation
I've searched high and low in the faces of people
he has found me wanting but given me mercy
into the sea of forgetfulness is my past transgressions

this isn't easy for me to admit but I've been wrong
I conjured foul spirits unknowing the harm I was doing
I repent today I am safe Lucifer is no joke
he's out headhunting tonight
I pray the angel of death passes over your houses
and you are kept safe
