Birds
Scavengers of the skies
Picking parts unbroken
Clinging to working pieces
Taking what you want to see
Selectively biting me
The light you love
Complexly created
Crafted in darkness
Every part REAL
Every part FEELS
Wars are waging within
To be the man that I want to be
Yet the past has claws
It rips and shreds
I stumble and fall
Each falter
Each flaw shown
Another bird flees
A world so full
Ever so empty
A lesson unlearned
Though spoken so simply
There is no one to call my home
It is as it has always been
Truly Alone
Picking parts unbroken
Clinging to working pieces
Taking what you want to see
Selectively biting me
The light you love
Complexly created
Crafted in darkness
Every part REAL
Every part FEELS
Wars are waging within
To be the man that I want to be
Yet the past has claws
It rips and shreds
I stumble and fall
Each falter
Each flaw shown
Another bird flees
A world so full
Ever so empty
A lesson unlearned
Though spoken so simply
There is no one to call my home
It is as it has always been
Truly Alone
