Look At Me
If only you would look at me
The way I long to look at you
Falling in love's dawning
Your blush the rising of its sun
When nothing's perfect
And all seems random and astray
As when strangers meet by chance
Even as we two
But with a look which speaks
Nothing will ever be the same
Speak to me of love
With your eyes
In a chance and startled glance
Of one who realizes
Perhaps
They've stared a moment too long
And looks away
...then back again
And in that look
That moment
Knowing what the other feels
The connection
For your feelings are the same
Love sometimes speaks that way
Let your heart speak
Your longed for dreamings
Though you know not what to say
Let your eyes speak sweet dreams to me
Your eye softening before my gaze
As the faintest smile lights your face
And all others fade away
Love murmuring a quiet whisper
As I'm drawn into your stare
And the dreams you've longed to share
Do you wonder
If there are dreams I've longed to share
The way I long to look at you
Falling in love's dawning
Your blush the rising of its sun
When nothing's perfect
And all seems random and astray
As when strangers meet by chance
Even as we two
But with a look which speaks
Nothing will ever be the same
Speak to me of love
With your eyes
In a chance and startled glance
Of one who realizes
Perhaps
They've stared a moment too long
And looks away
...then back again
And in that look
That moment
Knowing what the other feels
The connection
For your feelings are the same
Love sometimes speaks that way
Let your heart speak
Your longed for dreamings
Though you know not what to say
Let your eyes speak sweet dreams to me
Your eye softening before my gaze
As the faintest smile lights your face
And all others fade away
Love murmuring a quiet whisper
As I'm drawn into your stare
And the dreams you've longed to share
Do you wonder
If there are dreams I've longed to share
