♪a rhymed, mirrored octet♪
‘twas
in h e r
eyes at first
i queried love
emptiness profound
saw we not eye to eye
then her luscious lips enticed
with kisses hiding sharpened teeth
my m e t a p h y s i c a l d e f e a t
came a m a z i n g l y high-priced
c o n s c i e n c e to g r a t i f y
now my soul rebounds
for love thereof
uncoerced
me stir
does
