Sweet Something

Hints of butterscotch loiter
and lay down
alongside your words,
deep inside the larynx of my soul

reverberating and penetrating
slowly, hanging out with the secrets of time
whispering "sweet somethings" in your ear
as I nibble upon the silhouetted syntax
dancing ever closer
in the heated air

lapped up
honey eyed glazes
the softness you posess
me in freedom posess

asleep but wide awake
angles dare not take
moments spent
heaven sent
occured and laid out to roam
from heart to head to home

another sip, a kiss, a caress
a brush of kindness upon a cheek
I linger
a different tomorrow I dare not seek
