The christmas tree
I hear chant, a centerpiece that must be found
in their prime Young trees cut down
Before they reach their full grown hight
And christians stole the pagan birthright
How selfish seems this senseless act
To deny the forest for an artifact
To stand alone just in a pot
Gaudy embelishments and soon to drop
Or sprayed with gloop to make it last
A fake robin tweets at its last gasp
As we mourn whilst rain forest burn
The tree we slew its lights soon dim
For just twelve days it brings us cheer
Years to come and those that did precede
That plantation is the eco future health
We deprived that present to ourselves
in their prime Young trees cut down
Before they reach their full grown hight
And christians stole the pagan birthright
How selfish seems this senseless act
To deny the forest for an artifact
To stand alone just in a pot
Gaudy embelishments and soon to drop
Or sprayed with gloop to make it last
A fake robin tweets at its last gasp
As we mourn whilst rain forest burn
The tree we slew its lights soon dim
For just twelve days it brings us cheer
Years to come and those that did precede
That plantation is the eco future health
We deprived that present to ourselves
