You know it's true.
"You've suddenly changed so much" They will say in fear.
"How could you become the way you are?" They will ask a 1000 times
"You had such a beautiful life, how could this happen?" They will never understand
They will not, but I will.
"Talk!" They will shout. Their hands hitting your chest.
"Don't disappear in silence!" They will start praying for you.
"Share that feeling that swallows you up from the inside" They will want that, save you,
but not Me.
"Eat something, you must!" They say, feeling desperate.
"We love you, why can't you see that?!" They will shout, full of self-pity*.
"We no longer understand". They will scream, leaving you to your own devices
They will, but I will not.
When their love is bled, deceased
When they find out your behavior can't be corrected
You can't be saved
They won't remember why they ever loved you
They will disappear, into self-pity
They will, but not Me
I will never leave you,
Will still be there;
when humanity has been pushed into the shadows,
within your own mind, which made room for the only One who understands you; Me.

I really like this both from the perspective of understanding and commitment for someone else and also oneself regardless of the dark and scary depths. And resisting the pressure to simply conform to family, friends, peers, and society.

Can you ever meet those of society, friends, peers, family even, when you accept the darkness that lies deep within. You can understand my writings in different ways, yes. I think that's the beauty of it. Makes it more complicated. Thank you for your words and the song.

Indeed, I enjoy writing that has multiple meanings and interpretation. My writing tends to as well although some may only be understood by me due to lack of context.
