Wedding Day
Standing at the altar watching you approach slow
Admiring the sultry appearance of melanin's glow
A memorable show of elegance & exquisiteness
You're looking like royalty in your wedding dress
The seamstress made it exclusively for you Queen
Its magnificence is something no one has ever seen
You've walked right out of my dream into reality
Something that was a fantasy has now come to be
As you make it to me, we gently go arm in arm
Once we reach the pastor, we stand palm in palm
He asks if I'll have you and I gleefully say that I do
Then he asks you & you happily do the same too
In between we do the exchanging of the rings
While in my head I'm hearing Luther Vandross sing
"A House Is Not A Home" and its meaning is clear
'Cause I can't imagine having one without you dear
