And can't help thinking about us
An opening
An unfolding
The falling of walls
And guards
The laying aside of old fears
And old lives
As the new opens before me
In layers
Like the petals of a rose
With the coming of the sun
Glistening with dew
And the fragrance of love
And I dream of your touch
To be so close
As this
You and I
In love
In love with the you I've dreamt of
And the you
Who is so much more than a dream
Time and distance and reasons overcome
Simply by love
I want to give you my heart
Every hope
Every dream
Every heartbreak and scar
All the emptiness my soul has carried
And every yearning
That's left unfulfilled
And find in you a healing
A wholeness
Impossible without your love
I want to make love to you
With my heart
A sacred thing
Shared between we two
A deepening
Of everything
With each touch and caress
And uninhibited kiss
A mingling of the sacred and profane
In the union of one
Although just once with you could never be enough
I long to look into your eyes
In that timeless moment
So urgent
In the proximaty of now
And see in the giving of everything
The possibility of everything
The surrender of everything
The flowing of soul to soul
In every breath
Every kiss
Every feeling within
And awake to that feeling again
