I Can't Help It.
If there was anything I had needed it was you.
I feel as though this connection will never be severed
Though I know the feeling won't be returned.
I cannot convey them to you for I know the answer.
Ever since the moment you had used me
That crossing of the friendly line
The three words once forbidden burning in my head
Almost as though they'd bring me to life.
I tried my dear
I truly used all my resources
Everything that could possibly deter these thought
To forget these feelings that felt so right.
I couldn't do it.
I was never accustomed to 'can't'
However that is the word that seems to be missing
When it comes to these feelings for you.
Why must it be that feeling should burn
Burn in a way that destroys yet rekindles!
I become alive whilst the knowing kills you
Thus leaving me to be a secret.

What nourishes us can also kill us. A million words can be said, but it takes only three to kill us. I have always said "love is the slowest suicide". It's almost a shame that our heart overrides our rational thoughts, but then again true feelings are from the heart. Great write as always. I can't say story for it is a feeling.
