It's a human race

Day by day,
Everyday it's the same.
When we were born we were blessed,
Blessed with the number of our grave.
Every path leads this way.
Fate will find you, there's no escape.
So every day we try our best.
Before we turn to dust.
That someday, in the end.
We'd be proud when the tears of our loved ones lays us to rest.
We're all chasing time,
It's the human race.

So we love whole heartedly,
And we wage wars.
Anything so we won't be forgot.
Our fates were sealed when we were born.
So we look up and place our faith in God.
To live eternal life after we're gone.
We all wish to play god,
And stop the hands of the winding clock.
Anything if time can be bought.
Everyday we pray for another day.
No one wants to go down this way.
Miracles and shooting stars,
Passion then denial.
The truth is,
Life is an hour glass
And we're all carrying one.
Too short to keep,
We won't be saved by tears.
Acceptance is the key,
Birth is the start of the ending.
This is the human race.
