DEAR MISERY

Dear Misery,
What do you see in me
Other than my world
Of pain and tragedy?

I'm standing at the edge and cannot back away
Screaming at the top of my voice, ragged and grave
I look to the greener fields across the abyss
But I must fall again to reach the other side

There's a ghost of myself
Fallen under a spell
Of a tomorrow there
And I can't find it here
There's a ghost of myself
That is haunting this shell
It can't find it's way out
There's no escaping now

Do you know what it is like when the end is near?
The darkness is crawling ever forward with fear
As eternal thunder echoes across the sky
I feed all my demons to be lovers with night

Dear Agony,
What do you want of me?
I'm trapped in my world
Of pure insanity

There's a ghost of myself
Fallen under a spell
Of a tomorrow there
And I can't find it here
There's a ghost of myself
That is haunting this shell
It can't find it's way out
There's no escaping now

The marble walls around me
And the dirt six feet above
Hold me captive
As a casualty
So many bad choices
All I can blame is myself
This path to Hell
Consumes me ravenously

Dear Devilry...

There's a ghost of myself
Fallen under a spell
Of a tomorrow there
And I can't find it here
There's a ghost of myself
That is haunting this shell
It can't find it's way out
There's no escaping now
