What Lays Dormant
Slowly I crawl
Clawing away at the ashes from flesh
Which has slowed me to a halt
Gnawing my way through bodies
On top of me hindering my view of
This radiant majesty this world offers
Love? What is it love?
Is it learned, or is mine simply lost?
Or maybe this old body next to me
Fell on it with it's dying breath
Hopefully it is merely dormant
Waiting for a light to shine
So I can finally turn it on
Which is why I crawl through the ashes
Through decay
To reach the light
To find my way
Clawing away at the ashes from flesh
Which has slowed me to a halt
Gnawing my way through bodies
On top of me hindering my view of
This radiant majesty this world offers
Love? What is it love?
Is it learned, or is mine simply lost?
Or maybe this old body next to me
Fell on it with it's dying breath
Hopefully it is merely dormant
Waiting for a light to shine
So I can finally turn it on
Which is why I crawl through the ashes
Through decay
To reach the light
To find my way
