silencing the critics
is easy
just show them the mirror
let them see
where they truly stand
critiquing a piece of art
is taking stabs at the shadow
that is cast
relative to an angle
[and time, in their life]
that they
are standing at
staying at the feet
of the statue of colossus
at midday
claiming it ain't colossus
'cause it only casts a tiny shadow
not proportional to its size
tell me whats wrong?
what does that say
about the self proclaimed art critic?
any art
is an ocean
of learning
just when you thought
you knew it all
and start believing
you can look down
tear apart
someone else's art
mate, go look at self
in the multiple mirrors you own
you stand alone
as you always have
and will be
