Daughters Of Time
In endless vigil are watcher’s fair the maidens of eternity.
To keep now’s space between what once was and what has yet to be.
Forever’s children have not taken rest their guard has just begun.
Theirs is to stir wait’s solitude a god to nothing quickly done.
From beyond to beyond through the book of life they turn another page.
In time beats there pulse with every step marched across the age.
Know the future holds not a blessing or a curse upon the past.
Deny each their due and in its wake the first shall be the last.
When the elder’s lessons are forgotten through the lack of care.
Pain and burdens is the payment for later souls to bear.
Weaker wills who choose not to see what the future has in store.
Their prospects are an empty pit that yields precious little more.
Then there are the foolish ones who fear the here and now.
A squandered gift is there present this they’ll disavow.
When wish and hope are prayed upon they hold each other’s hand.
The past and present bleed into now so those seeking understand.
Sacred sisters of timeless beauty born from tranquility.
These graced goddesses ward the worlds of man’s reality.
