Fates Mistress
My lungs are starting to burn
my calves are beginning to ache
If there’s one thing that I need to learn
it’s to never make a promise with Fate
Don’t get caught in her beauty for her reflection is that of a snake in the grass
But you can only see these truths if the first layers of beauty you look past.
She’s soft as sandpaper and as smooth as broken glass
Was she always this picture of deception?
Is the question I dare ask
I can’t let Fate continue to mind rape me
For that reason I must let my demons go
I ran as fast as my legs could take me
I ran as far as they would let me go
I was running from the demons of my past that haunt me
When I heard Fates shrill scream of hurt and pain
I was running from the feelings in my heart that taunts me
Then loneliness crept into my heart no longer detained
It was then that I looked up and locked eyes with Fate
The feeling she stirred within me were both love and hate
Teary eyed she stood in front of me and I knew it was too late
For the promise I made to her was a promise to be her mate.
