Who am I?

I am the person in the bath
watching over all the bubbles bubble to their life and death
Alas I am one of these bubbles looking for company
not realizing that I am the creator of these bubbles in the bath and as well their progeny

Why do I keep fussing over these bubbles when I know they're not real
repeatedly going through joy and sorrow which feels surreal
if only I knew, in the end, its all water and air
every action and event in this whole world would then only seem fair

this serenity I feel which i know is again a myth
for what has an origin and end cannot have a pith
i do know i am one with the supreme energy
what else can explain the workings of this world and all its synergy

hear oh hear these words of this heart
which are nothing but bubbles in the great bath
i have no birth nor do i have a death
for eternal I am, I am the person in the bath

Author's Note
The inspiration for this poem comes, oddly enough, in the bath. We are nothing but eternal beings watching ourselves in dream. I am writing this poem as the first person as well as the third person at the same time.
All writing remains the property of the author. Don't use it for any purpose without their permission.
