Shattered Silence

Broken chains and candy tassels
Everything died and refused to live
We all drop down and drink from a sieve
A lover lost a friendship made
Never mind this small tirade
You have your health
Your will to live
What's worse than living
Without a sin?
Fuck the world's ungodly tremors
Leaving the castaways to swim to shore
I remember the times when I was pure
Forget that life it was never there
You live in the present so face this fear
Oh god I loved her
I held her near
She loves another
No, why my dear?
It wasn't there
Quit fooling your mind
A future together was yours as a right
But wrongs will be made to split you in two
Those halves will crack like eggs in a stew
Oh ha ha it's funny
A masquerade
I play as the part of the Jester's maid
Fool me enough and you'll see my stage
Adorned with ribbons of red and malaise
Spin in a circle and be trapped in this maze
I hate the world's weight so I'm free from these chains
I'm sorry but it's true
I still do love you.
