Pathway

this dusty pathway
where shall this pathway lead me
shall it take me there

dust is in the air
all is blurred and watered down
with tears in my eyes

nothing can be seen
but watered down memories
blurred recollections

and my mindless thoughts
all causing me to cry out
let my prayer be heard

prayer shall get me there
along the dusty pathway
God shall hear my prayer

let the dust settle
so that I may see your face
hear my prayer oh LORD

prayer shall get me there
the dust shall settle in place
giving me clear sight

endless prayer prevails
the pit has been avoided
the dust has settled

clear pathway given
I now stand before the LORD
his presence comforts

dust was in the air

but prayer got me here
