GOODBYE

I was hoping we could say our goodbyes
You deserve someone to tend to your heart
Not someone like me who will tear you apart
I chose to come back around
Tried to make a sound
I must have spoken too softly
Who was I to think you would remember
 All of the little signs
Buried and broken
Scars shattered and tattered us
That's why we related
Shining the light to make it very clear
I was never yours
You had another
But you never called me just your own
Assumptions made
Glass lovers we became
You wanted more than I could ever give
You
What you actually needed
Emotionally
Like a moth to the flame
I couldn't cure you
I would have burned you
I left it a mess scattered to the ground
I can't stand it anymore I miss you what the hell
It's like someone who teaches but doesn't live what they spill
I was hoping you could have seen me first
You are the reason god gave me this curse
It is time we talked and said our goodbyes
You are not the one because you are not free
We will never know what this was supposed to be
I might have chosen you but you chose differently
I won't compete with a lie, neither should you
Is there anything else you have left to say
Now is the time I am listening
I cannot wait around for you to decide
Gift yourself the chance to say goodbye
