float to earth and only stop

in patterns ever changing
as beauty slips the icy grip
of winter's rearranging

molecules of liquid life
cold and crystallizing
everywhere on everything
it's something so surprising

diamond sparkling spectral glints
when the Sun is shining
each molecule of water hints
it's all about the timing

of conscious sensitivity
to all that is around us
crystallizing when we stop
now the snow has found us
