Silent Agreement
would you be there,
if you found out I wasn't that smart?
I grew up poor and faught for what I got
i’ll never be one with lots of cash
but what I have, I earned
is that something to you?
would you still care,
if you knew sometimes I’m hurt?
feeling so heavy
that my feet feel like stone
can you put up with me,
in my most unbearable moments?
sometimes it's hard
to even put up with myself
love isn't all sunshine and rainbows
I too have to ask
can I deal with the hardships?
what if you lost your job,
and we went down to one income?
if you get sick
can't do things for yourself anymore
can I have the patience,
to lovingly devote my all to you?
when I look into your hazel eyes
in these cold miserable nights
I can see we both sign
this silent agreement
to forever be there for each other
no matter what storms may bring
it’s you and me
if you found out I wasn't that smart?
I grew up poor and faught for what I got
i’ll never be one with lots of cash
but what I have, I earned
is that something to you?
would you still care,
if you knew sometimes I’m hurt?
feeling so heavy
that my feet feel like stone
can you put up with me,
in my most unbearable moments?
sometimes it's hard
to even put up with myself
love isn't all sunshine and rainbows
I too have to ask
can I deal with the hardships?
what if you lost your job,
and we went down to one income?
if you get sick
can't do things for yourself anymore
can I have the patience,
to lovingly devote my all to you?
when I look into your hazel eyes
in these cold miserable nights
I can see we both sign
this silent agreement
to forever be there for each other
no matter what storms may bring
it’s you and me
