Napkin My Heart

warm my heart with a big black coat
struggling with which path to take
wrap a napkin around my throat
dry my tears
I am not awake

torn between tradition again
my heart has been asunder, 2
not wanting growth afar, a friend
my heart now drowns in ponds of blue

my flame dims and now barely glows
my soul cries for new horizons
only my Goddess knows
She knows
where we could now all be headed

O, napkin my heart
it’s very heavy
and these tears
are not just for me
