A new light in me
You lifted me up.
I will forever be thankful.
Now I see,
a new light because of you.
I had to lose to win.
Always there but didn’t see,
now I know it was meant to be.
All the hurt I endured.
The puzzles I tried to make fit.
Blind by false truths.
Making excuses for the fools,
made me the biggest fool.
You lifted me up.
I will forever be thankful.
Cause now I see,
A new light in me.
See I had seen the wrong as the good.
Pushed away, and I pulled.
Scared to be alone.
More I tried, I lost.
Just wanting to be loved.
You lift me up.
I will forever be thankful.
Cause now I see,
the best in me.
You put a fire inside.
I know my worth now.
All this time in front of me.
I was blind to see.
You are what’s good for me.

Author's Note
You have to be strong enough to let go what’s toxic even though you can’t see that it is. Yes it will be tough maybe one of your biggest challenges but when you let go of what isn’t right for you. You give the chance for your blessings to catch up to you.
