A want for a need
I had a question on my mind
Is love a need or a want?
This angel came along and answered kind
Love is a need, a desire, the greatest to be blunt
It made me think of the past
Making love and warm kisses
Never to understand why they never last
The holding hands, and hugs are great misses
It made me feel what she had to say
It's not completely hopeless nomore
You have to welcome love from day to day
Instead of walking away and shutting the door
It made me cry for a broken heart
A heart that cried for help, a sign, a relief
It was almost over before it could start
The need for love is truly a belief
My friend who ever you are
Gave me the light when I couldn't see
So I can feel with you, no matter how far
To wonder what lovers that we could be

hugging someone whom you know wants and needs that hug as badly as you do, can be one of the best feelings we experience. i've been "hugged" with the brush of our clothing, by the one armed, "i don't want to do this" people, by the lightspeed "did we actually touch?" type. if i was able to help you remember the past and how you felt inside a much needed hug, then i have been blessed. im glad you went back in your thoughts, as hard and painful as it can be, cuz it can be like ten billion razors on your skin to remember someone impossible to see, and rage easily begins to rumble when its someone gone before they should be. i got that when you said you could only feel through others, because i know the exactly what can happen to a mind when you allow yourself to feel things of this intensity. but if you allow a little, at least to yourself, you can remember feeling the good too. and that IS an endless need. life and fate have punished you enough, don't deny yourself the knowledge that some things are wonderful to feel. i don't know where you are to hug you physicaly, but we've been connected spiritualy. and what is this, both members on the same day? i believe meant to be. if i have helped you, cuz you've given me a peice of healing again with this poem....your line "gave me the light when i couldnt see" in a small but very important way gave me maybe a little redemption, because i struggle with understanding why i couldnt give that light to someone else and make him see as well. something more than irony brought you to this sight for me, and i will try in every way to be here for you.
