Ocean Explicit
In my sea of forgetfulness,
I recall a strong consolation of fantasies. . .
Because of what might have been
and surely can never be.
Waves of remembrance
coolly hit my face,
as whispers of us, carried by the gale
drift into another dimension, another space.
Nevertheless, the depths of friendship
tow me under, back into reality. . .
I've spied a ship ----
her sails so full,
her structure as smooth as cold be.
I neither missed her cargo,
nor her wake and humbling beauty.
Spirited life and love
were contained within her holds,
and every port she met,
gave way to another friendship growth.
And time of new,
And of beyond,
And of to be,
In my sea of forgetfulness,
I still harbor her memory.
I recall a strong consolation of fantasies. . .
Because of what might have been
and surely can never be.
Waves of remembrance
coolly hit my face,
as whispers of us, carried by the gale
drift into another dimension, another space.
Nevertheless, the depths of friendship
tow me under, back into reality. . .
I've spied a ship ----
her sails so full,
her structure as smooth as cold be.
I neither missed her cargo,
nor her wake and humbling beauty.
Spirited life and love
were contained within her holds,
and every port she met,
gave way to another friendship growth.
And time of new,
And of beyond,
And of to be,
In my sea of forgetfulness,
I still harbor her memory.
