I think it was there
always
Only hidden so well
even I could not
touch it.
Black and lights
still RED all over!
Crack and nights
darkened dead lover.
Almost!
I nearly had it all ----
So close too
to the light
I carelessly feel
brushing against her flame
I melted.
Left to remold. . .
alone
AND changed.

Your first stanza was a hook and then I was all in for the rest of your poem.
“ I think it was there
always
Only hidden so well
even I could not
touch it. ” in my own version this reminds me of hiding in plain sight. I can’t see it even though it’s right before me. I so enjoy how many ways your lovely poems will morph into something different for me each time I read them. H🌷
