Lincoln Streets beat.
A community meets.
As warriors in pads, helmets and roman sandals equipped with cleats thunder from the tunnel as boys become men on the football field.
The modern day colliseium of Memorial stadium fills with the swathe of red.
Every seat is an atrium filled with the passion of Nebraskans.
Game day Saturday sees Titanic struggles of Cornhuskers and Buffaloes and a wave of a crimson tide that crashes onto cornfields
To sometimes saturate but never sweep away.
And the legendary name of coach Osborne  echoes down the colliegete halls that shine with a winning tradition.
And the spirit of '97 lingers and longs to be repeated.
With Bo Pelini the man charged and armed with histories chisel ready to engrave another chapter in the Big Red book.
As our gladiators line up to eighty- thousand chants of "GO BIG RED"
