Subtle Omnipresence
a subtle omnipresence
is shared each time we breathe
a pure and shining essence
every time we leave
and every time that we return
still glowing in the heart
a subtle omnipresence
is with us at the start
it's with us as we journey
all through every day
it's with us when we're sleeping
dreaming the night away
a subtle omnipresence
is in you and in me
always in the present tense
this is where to be
cascading interactions
rising, falling tides
thoughts and feelings thrashing
egocentric rides
every time we slip away
every time we flee
a subtle omnipresence
is in you and in me
is shared each time we breathe

Great poem, Lawrence! I often feel a loving, "subtle" omnipresence with me, and it helps me to keep on facing life's problems head-on. Your poems are the "chicken soup for the soul" of today.
