Image for the poem Disheveled

Disheveled

There is another you we both know
Hidden from the surly world around
That scratches the cocoon open like
Some old scar to reveal the butterfly within.
She comes out in the curve of lip, the
Glance of eyes, the tightened grip between my thighs, the wordless "Take me!" grind upon my body's sweat.
There is no sanctuary when you are she,
I am disheveled to my core
In the taking of you.
