Spring Dawn
where upon, springs rain falls down,
and drops on grass, glisten as diamond crown,
fresh beginnings afoot, reign in the new dawn,
early risers to catch, birdsong in the morn,
scuffles in shrubs, as small critters find feast,
the day is alive, at my roadside not least,
gazing up moonward, still set in the sky,
off looking eastward, sun yet to crest high,
the air is vibrant, all enraptured by day,
ready to embrace, ventures coming their way,
I sit in silence, absorb the atmosphere,
feel a faint stir, my heart quickens in cheer,
warmth on skin, as sun starts to creep,
up over horizon, its rays seem to leap,
a moment time sits, enveloped in awe,
at this divine splendor, sight not to ignore,
radiant beams, usher mist through the valleys,
wistfully pouring, signal flight for the ospreys,
the world is astir, even at foot of my home,
so gingerly I step, set to wander and roam.
and drops on grass, glisten as diamond crown,
fresh beginnings afoot, reign in the new dawn,
early risers to catch, birdsong in the morn,

the day is alive, at my roadside not least,
