Different Shade Of Green
Oh baby
I wonder where you are
Like, twinkle twinkle little star
Now baby
Those brown eyes made a scene
They were a different shade of green
So baby
I wish you could put all this to an end
Why can’t we just be the best of friends
Oh baby
I tried not to love you, but I did anyway
You said your love was forever and a day
So baby
I just wonder if it was true
Or was there nothing else to do
Now Baby
Someone new fills that empty space
But I know he’ll never take my place
Oh baby
You had me one a string
I guess you never felt a thing
Someday you’ll regret letting go
Like, a red balloon I’m flying solo
I wonder where you are
Like, twinkle twinkle little star
Now baby
Those brown eyes made a scene
They were a different shade of green
So baby
I wish you could put all this to an end
Why can’t we just be the best of friends
Oh baby
I tried not to love you, but I did anyway
You said your love was forever and a day
So baby
I just wonder if it was true
Or was there nothing else to do
Now Baby
Someone new fills that empty space
But I know he’ll never take my place
Oh baby
You had me one a string
I guess you never felt a thing
Someday you’ll regret letting go
Like, a red balloon I’m flying solo
