Different Shade Of Green
Oh baby
I wonder where you are
Like, twinkle twinkle little star
Now baby
Those brown eyes made a scene
They were a different shade of green
So baby
I wish you could put all this to an end
Why can’t we just be the best of friends

I tried not to love you, but I did anyway
You said your love was forever and a day

I just wonder if it was true
Or was there nothing else to do
Now Baby
Someone new fills that empty space
But I know he’ll never take my place

Wow. Strong words. Nothing else to do. Someone new. Wonder if it was true, Never felt a thing. Good rhyme scheme. Maybe whoever you meant that for will take it at face value and feel the hurt and pain that you want them to feel because those are definitely some cutting words. Awesome ink.
