A Midsummer Nightmare
Soft cream sun rays fills the air.
Summer breeze drifts through my hair.
The love runs deep in breaths we share.
We are living in sunkissed nothingness.
You fill my heart in glory and gold.
God only knows what the future holds.
Nonetheless we watch it unfold
To reveal your death.
Breathe into water, crisp and clear.
My voice screams this, can you hear?
“We have nothing left to fear.”
Because God has taken you away.
