Longing
I always have the longing to go home
Where my sweetest serenity and calm resides
My home was the strongest foundation known
Better built than any from concrete or stone
The sacred key was held within my mom's heart
For there in her heartbeat , was my home sweet home
It was felt in her soul
It was seen in her eyes
It was heard in her voice
She instilled in me everything that I have;
Compassion
Empathy
Resilience
Strength
Genuinity
In her eyes, was I everything
In mine, was she my entire world
I would love to feel her heartbeat once again
For then would I not have the longing to go home
Where my sweetest serenity and calm resides
My home was the strongest foundation known
Better built than any from concrete or stone
The sacred key was held within my mom's heart
For there in her heartbeat , was my home sweet home
It was felt in her soul
It was seen in her eyes
It was heard in her voice
She instilled in me everything that I have;
Compassion
Empathy
Resilience
Strength
Genuinity
In her eyes, was I everything
In mine, was she my entire world
I would love to feel her heartbeat once again
For then would I not have the longing to go home
